In the midst of California's Gold Rush, a senator's wilful daughter Caroline follows her army beau West by train, riverboat, and covered wagon, befriending a vagrant Russian prince and gambler along the way. Joining a wagon-train bound for the West, she finds herself torn between a love that may not be entirely genuine and a romance that blossoms in the unlikeliest of places - on the open trail. With its catchy musical numbers and western charm, Can't Help Singing is a charming, Technicolor gem from 1944.
