Thomas Gomez

Biography

Thomas Gomez was a Spanish-American actor who began his career in theater in 1923 and went on to appear in sixty films throughout his career, including notable roles in "Ride the Pink Horse," "The Conqueror," and "Beneath the Planet of the Apes." He was the first Hispanic-American to be nominated for an Academy Award for his performance in "Ride the Pink Horse" in 1947. Gomez frequently performed on television and stage, including a notable Broadway run of "A Man for All Seasons."
