Union Station

At Chicago Union Station, Police Lieutenant William "Bill" Calhoun is approached by an apprehensive passenger named Joyce Willecombe, who recognizes two men aboard her train as potential kidnappers. The police trail one of them, Gus Hadder, but he's accidentally run over in the trainyard and his death is withheld from the press to keep the other kidnappers guessing. As the investigation unfolds, Bill and his boss Inspector Donnelly piece together the crime, track down the remaining kidnappers, and eventually rescue the kidnapped blind girl, Lorna Murchison, just as a gunfight breaks out between the police and the getaway car's occupants. In the aftermath, Joyce tends to Bill's wounded shoulder, sparking an attraction between them.
