Aranyer Din Ratri

The film follows four friends from Calcutta who embark on a holiday in the countryside, a tiny village in Bihar, where they set up a government-owned bungalow without permission. As they settle into their new environment, they struggle with their own differences and insecurities, revealing their characters more deeply. Characterized by Soumitra Chatterjee as Asim, Subhendu Chatterjee as Sanjoy, Samit Bhanja as Hari, and Sharmila Tagore as Aparna, the group's interactions, misunderstandings, and confrontations with their own identities and each other unfold in a poignant exploration of class, male friendship, and the complexities of human relationships.
