The Alamo

In 1836, General Santa Anna's armies surround the Alamo, a former mission in San Antonio, and Lieutenant Colonel William Travis is tasked with defending it against a massive Mexican force. Meanwhile, Davy Crockett arrives with a group of Tennesseans, including Smitty, who tries to get help from Sam Houston. The siege begins, and despite heavy losses on both sides, the defenders hold out, but ultimately the Mexicans overwhelm them. John Wayne stars as Col.
