Footsteps in the Fog

Footsteps in the Fog is a 1955 British Technicolor Victorian-era crime thriller starring Stewart Granger and Jean Simmons. The film is based on the W. W. Jacobs short story "The Interruption". It follows Stephen Lowry (Granger), who is found by his house maid, Lily Watkins (Simmons), to have poisoned his wife, and she blackmails him with the information. As a result, Lily becomes embroiled in a complex web of deceit and murder, while also being pursued by the police and her own suspicions about Lowry's intentions.
