Johnny Be Good

"Johnny Be Good" is a 1988 American comedy film starring Anthony Michael Hall as Johnny Walker, a top high school quarterback prospect being recruited by colleges and tempted by their offers of hot girls, cash, free room and board. As he navigates the pressure and attention, his ability to make good decisions blurs, and he must decide between his football career and his relationship with his girlfriend Georgia Elkans (Uma Thurman). Meanwhile, Coach Wayne Hisler (Paul Gleason) tries to sell him out for a hefty sum, while Robert Downey Jr. plays Johnny's amusing friend Leo Wiggins who often clashes with his coach.
