In the 1953 American adventure film "Thunder Bay", a penniless engineer and his partner construct an offshore oilrig in Louisiana, sparking tensions with local shrimpers who fear for their livelihood. As conflicts arise, affairs of the heart also unfold, leading to a dramatic showdown between the oilmen and the fishermen.
