Biography
Joanne Dru was an American actress born Joan Letitia LaCock on January 31, 1922. She began her career as a model and made her film debut in Abie's Irish Rose (1946), later appearing in notable westerns like Red River (1948) and She Wore a Yellow Ribbon (1949). Dru continued to work in film and television throughout the 1950s, transitioning to TV appearances until the 1970s.
