In 1884, Martha Evans and her daughter Hilary embark on a perilous journey to introduce hardy British Hereford cattle to the American West, fulfilling the dream of Martha's deceased husband. With their prize possession, Vindicator, they hire Sam "Bulldog" Burnett to transport it to a breeder in Texas, but danger lurks around every corner, threatening to derail their mission and test the mettle of these determined women.
