Biography
Maureen O'Hara was a native Irish and naturalized American actress and singer born Maureen FitzSimons on August 17, 1920. Known for playing passionate yet sensible heroines in Westerns and adventure films, she worked closely with director John Ford and long-time friend John Wayne. A long-time resident of Hollywood, O'Hara enjoyed a highly successful career spanning the 1940s to the 1960s, earning her the nickname "the Queen of Technicolor."
