In 1770s Boston, a humble silversmith's apprentice named Johnny Tremain faces an injury that bars him from his trade and forces him to find a new life among the Sons of Liberty army. Recruited as a messenger, he becomes embroiled in several pivotal events leading up to the American Revolution, including the Boston Tea Party and Paul Revere's legendary ride.
