John Saxon was a prolific American actor and martial artist who worked on over 200 film and television projects in a span of 60 years. He established himself as a character actor, often playing law enforcement officials in Westerns and horror movies, including roles in A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) and Enter the Dragon (1973). Born Carmine Orrico in Brooklyn, New York, Saxon began his career as a contract actor for Universal Pictures.
