Douglas Fowley was a prolific American actor in over 240 films and dozens of television programs. He is best remembered for his roles as frustrated movie director Roscoe Dexter in Singin' in the Rain (1952) and Doc Holliday in The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp, among others. Born Daniel Vincent Fowley on May 30, 1911, he had a varied career spanning multiple genres before passing away on May 21, 1998.
