Tim Holt was a popular American film actor of the 1940s and early 1950s, starring in forty-six "B" westerns released by RKO Pictures. Born to actor Jack Holt, he began his career as a child on set with his father before being signed to a contract at age 17. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII, earning honors for his flying skills, before returning to acting and starring in notable films like The Magnificent Ambersons and The Treasure of the Sierra Madre.
