Biography
Jeanne Moreau was a French actress, singer, screenwriter, and director who made her theatrical debut in 1947 with the Comédie-Française. She achieved prominence in films such as Lift to the Scaffold (1958) and Jules et Jim (1962), earning numerous awards including a César Award for Best Actress, a BAFTA Award for Best Foreign Actress, and several lifetime awards. A prolific performer until her death in 2017 at age 89, Moreau's collaborations with directors Louis Malle and François Truffaut showcased her versatility and talent.
