Tony Todd was a renowned American actor known for his distinctive deep and gravelly voice and imposing screen presence. Born on December 4, 1954, in Washington, D.C., Todd trained in theatre at the University of Connecticut and Eugene O'Neill Theater Center before building a career in film and television. He rose to iconic status as Ben in "Night of the Living Dead" (1990) and Candyman (1992), a role he reprised in several sequels.
