She gained international recognition for her roles in "The Secret of Santa Vittoria" (1969), "Beyond Good and Evil" (1977), and "Queen Margot" (1994). Lisi won Best Actress at Cannes and the César Award for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Catherine de Médicis in "La Reine Margot".
