Boyd Gaines

Biography

Boyd Gaines was born on May 11, 1953, in Atlanta, Georgia, and began his theatre training at the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts and later attended the Juilliard School's Drama Division. He won four Tony Awards and three Drama Desk Awards during his career, with notable roles including Mark Royer on One Day at a Time (1981-1984) and Lieutenant M.R. Ring in Heartbreak Ridge (1986).
