Don Haggerty

Biography

Don Haggerty was an American actor born in Poughkeepsie, New York on July 3, 1914. Before entering films in 1947, he was a Brown University athlete and served in the US military's counterintelligence unit from 1943 to 1946. He appeared in notable films such as Sands of Iwo Jima and The Asphalt Jungle, often cast as tough policemen or cowboys, until his death on August 19, 1988.
