Biography
Natalie Portman is an actress and film producer of dual American and Israeli citizenship, born on June 9, 1981, in Jerusalem. She began her acting career at twelve in the 1994 action thriller Léon: The Professional and gained international recognition as Padmé Amidala in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999). Portman studied psychology at Harvard University while continuing to act, earning a Golden Globe for her role in Closer (2004).
