Alejandro Jodorowsky is a Chilean filmmaker and playwright born on February 17, 1929. He is known for his avant-garde films El Topo (1970), The Holy Mountain (1973), and Santa Sangre (1989), which have gained a cult following for their surreal images and mystical themes. Jodorowsky's work has influenced filmmakers such as David Lynch and Marilyn Manson, and he is set to return to cinema with the sequel to El Topo.
