Jessica Tandy was a renowned English-American stage and film actress who first appeared on London's stage at 16 in 1926. She won the Tony Award for her iconic portrayal of Blanche Dubois in A Streetcar Named Desire in 1948, later capturing Oscar gold with her role as Daisy Werthan in Driving Miss Daisy at 80 years old. Tandy also starred alongside her husband Hume Cronyn in several films and stage productions, earning numerous awards throughout her career.
