The Wistful Widow of Wagon Gap

Chester Wooley (Lou Costello) and Duke Egan (Bud Abbott) are traveling salesmen who become embroiled in a murder mystery in Wagon Gap, Montana, where they're wrongly accused and sentenced to death. Chester is forced to marry the widow, Mrs. Hawkins (Marjorie Main), to repay her husband's debts, but Duke tries to free them from their obligations. With the help of a photograph of Mrs. Hawkins and her children, Chester is hailed as a hero, but a web of rumors and attempts on his life ensue, ultimately leading to a surprising conclusion.
