Jigokumon

In 1159, samurai Moritō Endō (Kazuo Hasegawa) rescues Lady Kesa (Machiko Kyō) during a violent uprising, earning her gratitude. He falls deeply in love with her, but becomes distraught when he discovers she is already married to Wataru. Moritō's unyielding passion and eventual loss of control lead to a tragic confrontation with Kesa's husband, resulting in a profound transformation for the young samurai.
