Paul Bartel

Biography

Paul Bartel was a versatile American actor, writer, and director, best known for his hit black comedy Eating Raoul (1982), which he co-wrote, starred in, and directed. A frequent collaborator with Mary Woronov, he appeared in over 90 films and TV episodes, often as husband and wife with his friend. Bartel also helmed a range of low-budget cult classics, including Death Race 2000 (1975) and Lust in the Dust (1985).
