Biography
Robert Montgomery was a versatile American actor, director, and producer who began his stage career in New York City before turning to film with MGM, where he debuted in So This Is College (1929). He transitioned from comedy roles to dramatic ones, earning Academy Award nominations for Night Must Fall (1937) as a psychotic and Here Comes Mr. Jordan (1941) as Joe Pendleton, a boxer mistakenly sent to Heaven.
