Miracle on 34th Street

Kris Kringle (Edmund Gwenn), a jolly old man, is hired to play Santa Claus at Macy's in New York City after a successful performance in the Thanksgiving Day parade. His portrayal is so complete that many begin to question if he truly is Santa Claus, while others question his sanity. Doris Walker (Maureen O'Hara), a single mother and Kris's employer, is initially skeptical but eventually becomes a key figure in his defense when he is accused of being a delusional old man.
