The Fast Lady

A naïve Scottish civil servant, Murdoch Troon, learns to drive a Bentley to impress his girlfriend's tycoon father, Commander Charles Chingford, who is a domineering and acerbic owner of a sports car distributorship. With the help of his friend Freddie Fox, a used car salesman, Murdoch acquires a 1927 vintage Bentley 4½ Litre Red Label Speed model, named "The Fast Lady," to impress his girlfriend, Claire Chingford. Claire's father, Commander Chingford, reluctantly allows her to go out with Murdoch, and during a driving test, the car is commandeered by police to chase bank robbers, leading to a high-speed chase through town and country.
