Fear of Fear

The 1975 West German drama film "Fear of Fear" (Angst vor der Angst) stars Margit Carstensen as Margot, a woman in her mid-thirties who becomes increasingly anxious and isolated after giving birth to her second child. Her husband Kurt (Ulrich Faulhaber), caring but distant, struggles to understand her behavior, while their mother-in-law and sister-in-law are ashamed of it. As Margot's mental state deteriorates, she seeks contact with her young daughter Bibi and a mysterious neighbor, but ultimately meets a tragic end.
