Biography

Michael York OBE was born Michael Hugh Johnson on March 27, 1942, in Fulmer, Buckinghamshire. After a breakthrough in Franco Zeffirelli's Romeo and Juliet (1968), he became known for leading roles in films such as Something for Everyone (1970) and The Three Musketeers (1973). He later achieved success in the Austin Powers film series (1997-2002) and received a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2002.
