Yabu no naka no kuroneko

The film "Kuroneko" (1968) is a dark fantasy horror film set during the Sengoku period in feudal Japan. A woman, Yone, and her daughter-in-law, Shige, are brutally murdered by samurai, and their house is burned down. Years later, Yone and Shige return as vengeful ghosts, seeking revenge on the samurai who killed them. A young man, Gintoki, is tasked with finding and destroying the ghosts, but his own past and connection to the spirits become complicated, ultimately leading to a tragic confrontation.
