Biography

Glenn Ford was a Canadian-born American actor from Hollywood's Golden Age, starring in films noir like Gilda and The Big Heat, as well as the high-school drama Blackboard Jungle. He received three Golden Globe nominations for Best Actor and won one for Pocketful of Miracles. Ford also played Superman's adoptive father Jonathan Kent in the 1978 film, and his work has been selected for the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress.
